02 / FIND A MOMENT

Describe a visible scene or action. Spoken words and exact on-screen text may not match.

One-time model download: about 316 MB, plus browser runtime files. Cached on this browser when storage allows.

This is an experimental tool. Matches can be incorrect or missed; processing can take minutes, especially for longer videos.

A LITTLE MEMORY. A LOT LESS SCRUBBING.

Describe it. Find it. Check it.

Find moments in video using the details

01

Choose your video

Open a local MP4. Your video stays on your device. Start with a clip under 10 minutes.

02

Describe the scene

Local AI builds a visual index. Search completed windows while the rest of your video is being analyzed.

03

Jump to a likely moment

Review three candidates, or show two more. You decide whether the tool found what you wanted.

BEFORE YOU START

A few things to know.

Does my video leave my device?

The browser reads your chosen file locally. Frames, thumbnails, search descriptions and embeddings are not sent to the app backend. Model files are downloaded separately from Hugging Face. Optional non-content statistics are off by default.

What kinds of moments can I search for?

Try visible objects, actions, colors or scenes. This version does not transcribe speech or run OCR. Exact dialogue, tiny interface text and subtle screen changes may be missed.

How long does processing take?

Processing can take minutes. In our reference tests, two real tutorials took about 8 and 11 minutes to index with a 70-token budget. First use also downloads about 316 MB in the reference environment. These are observations, not estimates for your device.

Can I search a long video?

Under 10 minutes is the recommended test range. 10–30 minutes is a long-video test, and 30–60 minutes requires separate acknowledgement. This release’s 60-minute stress validation is pending. Files longer than 60 minutes are rejected without truncation.

Can I reuse an index?

Yes. Completed indexes are saved in this browser when storage is available. Reselect the same file to reuse the index without visual re-analysis. Browser cleanup may remove saved data; you can also delete it yourself.

Is it free?

Yes. This experimental tool has no signup, credits, checkout or advertisements. Learn how EmbeddingGemma 2 powers this independent browser demo on our technology page.
